We, the people of the Western Balkans, alongside our global partners, are dedicated to revitalizing our communities. Our focus is on fostering a stronger sense of unity and belonging, while living in harmony with each other and our natural environment.

Our Mission

We are a collective of passionate clinicians, activists, lawyers, practitioners, and our people in exile supporting projects in scientific research and advocacy of safe, regulated, and accessible psychedelic-assisted therapy in the Western Balkans. We believe we can change the culture around PTSD through the healing power of addressing and transforming trauma.

1. Conduct a scientific study involving psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) for doctors & therapists in Sarajevo and Tuzla.

2. Train 200 doctors & therapists to facilitate PAT in the Western Balkans in the next 2 years.

3. Provide safe access to thousands of patients suffering from trauma and other serious conditions.

Our commitment

▽ Implement a clinical study of MDMA-assisted psychoterapy for treatment-resistant PTSD in the Western Balkans. (Sarajevo)

▽ Train 100 health professionals to facilitate safe and regulated MDMA-assisted therapy for treatment-resistant PTSD.

▽ Empower a community of leaders through events, workshops, and awareness-raising campaigns.

Key advantages

Building on clinical and regulatory successes in the West, we now have an amazingly driven international team of experts.
Originally from the Balkans, they each experienced war and other trauma first-hand, before also achieving career success globally. We also have deep relationships with the leaders in the psychedelic field of medical research around the world.

Challenges

Strong bias and lack of basic understanding at all levels of government.
No funding mechanisms at the Balkans level, including from the government, traditional NGOs / foreign government aid agencies, and regional philanthropists.

Strategy

Create empowered & dynamic community of researchers furthering the global scientific field with local and regional results.
Ensure equal & safe access to scheduled substances and psychedelic-assisted
therapy (PAT) for medical/therapeutic use and specifically as it relates to PTSD and trauma.
Educate the public on global best practices adapted to local cultural norms.
